TV Patrol is the most famed news show of Philippines, it is aired on ABS-CBN. At the same time it is widely heard and known on radio nationwide by DZMM and DZMM TeleRadyo. Patrol is the longest running television newscast which started decades ago in 1987. It was created by Freddie M. Garcia, Angelo Castro Jr., and Rolly Cruz and directed by Henry Ballesteros and Kits Fernandez. TV patrol always disclosed the truth to the nation and due to its wide popularity and various achievements, it has also won several awards from local, national and international sources. “Boto Mo iPatrol Mo,” an election campaign of ABS-CBN runs on TV Patrol World’s segment Citizen Patrol, won the Award for Excellence recently by the Philippine Gold Quill Awards. It also became honorable mentions by the Asia Pacific PR Awards. Besides that, TV patrol has won other numberless awards, i.e. ‘Best News program’ by PMPC Star Awards for Television, ‘Award of Merit’ by Anvil Awards, ‘Best Television News Program’ by PUP Mabini Media Awards, ‘Most Well-Liked TV Program’ by Anak TV Seal Awards, ‘Best Public Affairs Program’ by Yahoo! Philippines OMG! Awards and many more.
